General Information

The Fund aims to provide regular income by investing primarily in the Asia Pacific ex Japan region and at the same time aims to achieve capital appreciation over the medium to long term. The Fund is established with a multi-class structure and is allowed to establish new class(es) from time to time without your prior consent. As the Fund is a Qualifying CIS under the ASEAN CIS Framework, there are Classes of the Fund that may be offered to investors in other countries that participate in the ASEAN CIS Framework. For investor in Malaysia, currently Class MYR, Class SGD and Class USD are available for sale. 

Fund is suitable for investors who :

  • have a medium to long term investment horizon;
  • want a well diversified portfolio of Asia Pacific ex Japan region;
  • seek regular income; and/or
  • can accept that returns may fluctuate over the investment period

Fund Details

Distribution Policy Depending on the level of income (if any) the respective Class generates, the Class aims to distribute part or all of its distribute part or all of its distributable income on a quarterly basis.
Investment Time Horizon Medium to long term. In this context, “medium to long term” refers to a period of three (3) years and more.
Initial Investment Minimum RM500 or such other amount as the Manager may from time to time decide.
Additional Investment Minimum RM200 or such other amount as the Manager may from time to time decide.
Cooling off period You have six (6) Business Days after your initial investment (i.e. the date the application is received by Principal Asset Management) to reconsider its appropriateness for your needs. Within this period, you may withdraw your investment at the NAV per unit on the day the units were first purchased and have the Application Fee (if any) repaid. Please note that the cooling-off right is only given to an investor who is investing with Principal Asset Management or any Approved Distributor for the first time. However, corporations/institutions, Principal Asset Management's staff and person(s) registered to deal in unit trust of Principal Asset Management or any Approved Distributor are not entitiled to the cooling-off right.

However, investors who invest via the EPF Members Investment Scheme (where available) are subject to EPF's terms and conditions.

Fund Fees

Application Fees Principal Distributors: Up to 6.50% of the NAV per unit.
IUTAs: Up to 5.50% of the NAV per unit.
Annual Fees Management Fee: Up to 1.80% per annum of the NAV of the Fund.
Trustee Fee: Up to 0.05%* per annum of the NAV of the Fund.
* Excluding foreign sub custodian fees and charges)
Switching Fees Since switching is treated as a withdrawal from one (1) fund and an investment into another fund, you will be charged a Switching Fee equal to the difference (if any) between the Application Fees of these two (2) funds. Switching Fee will not be charged if the fund to be switched into has a lower Application Fee. In addition, the Manager imposes a RM100 administrative fee for every switch made out of a Fund. The Manager also has the discretion to waive the Switching Fee and/or administrative fees.
