Principal Offers New Multi-asset Investment Solution, Aiming to Provide Access to a More Stable Income and Capital Growth

Principal Malaysia today announced the launch of the Principal Global Dynamic Income Fund (“The Fund”) for investors looking for a dynamic investment solution.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - 24 April 2024 - Principal Malaysia today announced the launch of the Principal Global Dynamic Income Fund (“The Fund”) for investors looking for a dynamic investment solution.

The Fund aims to provide income and capital growth by investing in the target fund, which invests flexibly across a diversified range of assets and markets globally to source investment opportunities. This investment exposure allows investors to generate potentially attractive returns while navigating market volatility.

“Amidst a complex macro and monetary policy environment, including interest rate concerns, our investments will need to dynamically find opportunities to capture upside whilst limiting any downward risks. Hence, an actively managed multi-asset strategy can help limit portfolio swings, leading to more consistent income generation. With the introduction of the Principal Global Dynamic Income Fund, investors can potentially generate an attractive income stream that aims to be resilient to market conditions and fluctuations, whilst further strengthening their financial well-being,” said Munirah Khairuddin, Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia and Global Shariah, Managing Director of Strategic Distribution & Institutional Client Relations (Southeast Asia & Global Shariah), Principal.

The Fund feeds into the Schroder International Selection Fund Dynamic Income and is suitable for investors who have medium to long-term investment goals, are interested in a well-diversified global portfolio, and/or interested in regular investment income.

HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad (“HSBC”) has been appointed as the exclusive bank distributor for the Fund for a period of six months. The Principal Global Dynamic Income Fund offers five share classes for investors: Class MYR, Class MYR-Hedged, Class SGD-Hedged, Class USD and Class AUD-Hedged.
